Moving overseas for education? Choose Ireland.

Ireland, known as the Emerald Isle, has mountains, lakes, meadows, rivers and islands which are as picture perfect as portrayed in books and movies. And, it is no wonder that the country is home to more Nobel laureates for literature than any other country. With Dublin being awarded the title of UNESCO City of Literature, this is truly a Land of Saints and Scholars.

The buildings in Ireland date all the way back to the 1500s and includes sites such as Rock of Cashel, King John’s Castle, Dublin Castle, Church of St Anne, St Mary’s Cathedral, to name a few. If you visit the Blarney Castle, get in line to kiss the Blarney Stone, as it is believed to bring the kisser a gift of eloquence. Kilmainham Gaol, a former prison turned museum, is a place worth visiting for its dark history. In terms of landscapes, check out the Cliffs of Moher on the western edge which offers stunning views of the sea coast for almost 14 kilometers along the Atlantic. The Wild Atlantic Way, a 2500 km route by the coast, offers plenty of landscapes and attractions. The Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site along the coast, is a geological spot wrapped in myths and legends.

Ireland has a few local festivals, the most famous being the St Patrick’s Festival which celebrates the Irish culture and is a unique experience to be a part of. But what makes a visit to Ireland unique is the friendly locals who have earned the country the title of the World’s Friendliest Country.
