What’s New:
  • The New Zealand Government has expanded work visa eligibility for partners of students studying for certain additional occupations on the Green List.
  • Partners of students studying level 7 (Bachelors) or level 8 (Bachelors with Honours) qualifications listed on the expanded Green List can now apply for a work visa.
  • Qualifications include *Nursing*, *Teaching* etc. are now part of this expanded list of occupations.

  • Expanded Eligibility: Partners of students studying level 7 or 8 qualifications listed on the expanded Green List can now apply for a work visa with open conditions.
  • Benefits for Children: Dependent school-aged children of eligible partners can be treated as domestic students. These children can apply for a Dependent Child Student Visa, allowing them to attend school in New Zealand.
  • Occupations include key fields such as:
    • construction which include project manager, Quantity Surveyor,
    • a variety of specialisations in Engineering, including Chemical, Materials, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Mechanical, Environmental etc.
    • Health and Social service such as Registered Nurses, Psychologists, specialisations in social work, teachers etc.
    • Food Technologists
    • ICT, electronics and Telecommunication which includes software engineers as well.
